ALL ABOUT OUR FARM 🐮🌾

Here at Fold of Liberty Farms, we make great strides to treat all of our animals with respect. As a regenerative agriculture farm, we give our cows fresh grass each day, needed minerals, and spend a lot of time making sure they have the very best life possible! When it is snowing and cold, we are out there with them, caring for them and making sure they always have plenty water and food. We give them love and enjoyment through regular interaction with farm staff and, for a few hours a week, we enable the public to interact with our animals! (That’s all of you! 😍🥰)

Not only do we not use any pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers, we also give our animals a GREAT life while they help us build up the soil nutrients so that we can raise high quality, 100% natural produce! 🥬🥕 Without these animals, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to grow the great products we produce.

Highland cattle are cute and fluffy, but that’s not the only reason we chose them. They also live much longer than many other breeds. Sadly, no matter how well we treat our animals, they will eventually get older and their quality of life will diminish. Once they reach this point, we honor our animals by helping them live on through feeding the community. We are farmers after all, and our ultimate objective as a regenerative farm is to produce more human-consumable food per acre while simultaneously improving the environment. 🌳 We don’t think it’s fair to dishonor a cow’s life by not using it to its full potential, so yes; we eat beef, pork, chicken, and eggs.

We support those who do not eat meat by utilizing the natural processes of our animals to produce chemical-free plant based food. The chickens eat the bugs, the pigs eat the weeds, and the cows provide a great deal of manure (fertilizer). We all work together!

If we do not sell animal products when the time comes, we will not have the resources to continue to be able to produce these great crops. As somber as it seems, whether plants or animals, life must end for our lives to continue on. That is the circle of life.

The babies are slowly warming up to us, and baby RJ has let a few people give him love over the past week! We are so happy he loves scratches so much. He sticks out his lil teef just like his momma!

He had been playing hide and seek with us and we couldn’t find him anywhere! We finally found him and he decided to accept defeat and come out to eat. Then he stuck his tongue out at us saying, “I’ll win next time! You won’t beat me again!” We love our little RJ 💕
