Before you arrive

Four things to know.

Read these once before your session day.

Closed-toed shoes

No exceptions. Real ground, real animals. Boots are best.

Layers, neutrals

Mornings and evenings shift fast. Earthy tones photograph beautifully against the fold.

Cow Cuddle first

Strongly recommended for first-timers — required for nervous kids. Settles everyone before the shoot.

Arrive 20 min early

For check-in, safety briefing, and waivers. Late arrivals lose pasture time, not check-in time.

Common questions

Things people ask first.

Can I just show up and take photos of the cows?
No. Every photoshoot inside animal areas is scheduled, approved, and paid. If you want casual photos around the farm outside the fences, ask at the front — there’s a hobbyist option for that.
My photographer isn’t on the list — can we still book?
Yes. Any photographer can book a Tier 03 Full-Service session without prior approval — it’s a great fit for a first visit. Have them call us. They’ll be the one signing the photo agreement.
How do photographer discount codes work?
Approved photographers receive a code that applies to their session fee at booking. It’s handled between us and them — you don’t need to do anything.
Can my kids touch the cows?
Interaction is allowed but never forced — the cows decide. We strongly recommend a Cow Cuddle first if it’s anyone’s first time. It gets the nerves out and makes the shoot feel like the second visit.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain — we usually shoot. Lightning, hail, or unsafe pasture conditions — we reschedule. You won’t lose your deposit to weather we both agreed to dodge.
Can the farm photos be used commercially?
Photographers sign the Fold of Liberty Royalty & Photo Release Agreement. Personal use, portfolios, and standard client delivery are covered. Commercial use beyond client fees has a royalty — full details on the photographer page.
